Remember in the 1980’s how every kid that listened to heavy metal music was “in to satanism” and parents and politicians predicted that “one day we would all snap and go on five state killing sprees.” And we said stop scapegoating our music, movies, TV shows, role playing games, and video games. They aren’t the problem. A few crazy people are no reason blame the things we enjoy (we called them crazy people back then, now it’s mentally challenged or mentally deficient). No they said, we have proof, reports and studies…
And you remember that day that it actually happened. We all snapped and everyone in America died? All because we listened to Mötley Crüe, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Twisted Sister. Played Dungeons and Dragons, Super Mario Bros, Contra, and Street Fighter. Watched Friday the 13, Nightmare on Elm Street and MTV. We devastated a nation. Turned America into a blood bath. All because we didn’t listen to our parents and politicians.
Wait… that didn’t happen? Gee, I wonder why? Parents and politicians were so sure that was going to be the outcome of us listening to all that “evil, violent, music, watching all those brain numbing violent TV shows and movies, and playing all those equally brain numbing violent role playing games and video games” back then. It was all going to be the downfall of America. The end of civilization.
Gee I wonder what became of all those kids who were “millions of ticking time bombs waiting to explode.” I wonder if they grew up to be productive citizens of the United States of America. Who had families of their own. Opened their own business. Became parents and politicians…

*note* this was supposed to be animated, Tumblr does not support large animations. From their FAQs;
“Why isn’t my animated GIF moving?
Large animated GIFs (greater than 1MB in size or wider than 500 pixels) may lose their animation while being resized. Please don’t upload unreasonably large animated GIFs.”
